Nexstar’s Digital Content Influencers for Jun/Jul

It’s time to highlight #NexstarNation digital journalists who’ve gone above and beyond to work towards goals, improve their station’s digital content offerings, and assist their regional neighbors. These are our Digital Content Influencers for June:

✅ Jessica Haynie is the digital lead at KSVI in Billings. The site ranks among the highest in the company for YTD KPI goal progress. With Jessica at the helm, the site has seen a huge increase in local evergreen content resulting in continued growth.
✅ Hailey Dunn, morning producer in Portland, has made it a priority to help KOIN.com reach its KPI goals. Her competitive nature has contributed to being a consistent top-three author for all but one month since she started with the team in 2021.
✅ Angel Colquitt, a digital reporter in Savannah, has been a part of WSAV’s digital team since November 2021. They’ve been a true team player, offering to cover weekends over the last few months while the station worked to hire a new producer.
✅ Matthew Self has close to 46% of KSNT’s pageviews for the month of June! His writing is a large part of how the Topeka station is ahead of pace for Pageviews and already hit their Visits goal for the month.
✅ When one of KLFY’s sister stations needs a helping hand, they know they can turn to digital lead Scott Lewis and his team. In June, Scott dedicated multiple days to helping onboard new digital leads from two of Nexstar’s Louisiana sister stations.
✅ WBRE producer Vivian Muniz joined the digital team about a year ago after working in production and on the assignment desk, and her skills have been an incredible asset to the team. Vivian strives to be first when information comes into the newsroom, and she’s been the top byline at the station all year.
✅ WGHP Digital EP Justyn Melrose is one of the top authors in the company so far in June. He’s led the WGHP digital team in boosting its monthly pacing through various strategic initiatives.

These are our Digital Content Influencers for July:

✅ Indiana Schilz, a site producer at WFRV in Green Bay, has been part of the team for less than a year and has made a huge impact during all parts of the day. He’s a big reason why Green Bay has hit PV goals every month of 2022.
✅ It’s not uncommon to see stories from  CBS 42 digital reporter Lee Hedgepeth climbing the charts. Lee has been working to share the secrets to his story gathering success, which has been “a major boon to the newsroom,” his manager Austin Franklin says.
✅ KETK’s Cynthia Miranda has been a rockstar in July with to close 25% of ketk.com’s pageviews for the month! Miranda’s writing is a large part of how KETK is on target to hit pacing goals for pageviews and visits this month.
✅ WGN’s morning web producer Melissa Espana is one of the company’s top writers this month. She helped drive the digital coverage on the Highland Park Parade July 4 shooting as it broke, providing critical information to the local and national audiences as well as digital coverage for the network.
✅ After joining PIX11 in April, Mira Wassef quickly distinguished herself as a digital reporter with an eye for writing compelling stories that resonate with their audience. She’s a team player who’s not afraid to make the calls that will secure an angle on a story that sets PIX11 apart from the competition.
✅ Harper Robinson, a digital reporter at FOX59/CBS4 in Indianapolis, has had quite the month! Since joining the duopoly in September 2021, Harper has been consistently growing her pageviews and is one of the company’s top authors in July.
✅ Sergio Robles joined FOX40 in Sacramento as the new lead only a few months ago and has already led that team to its best month of the year this July. Sergio is a content strategist who regularly reviews and responds to data and content trends.
