In early 2024, I traveled to Los Angeles and shot video on my phone to be utilized on social media by our Remarkable Women winners and local stations.

My wife has a community Instagram account centered around the town where we live. When my schedule allows, I’ll help out and produce reels like the one above. Helps keep the skills sharp. πŸ˜‰

In 2023, I had to opportunity to help organize a fundraising effort via the American Red Cross to assist wildfire victims in Hawaii. The effort, led by our station in Honolulu, raised more than $1 million.

As part of our ongoing training with journalists, I started hosting sessions on leadership with the goal of preparing employees for advancement.

At the close of 2021, we leveraged social media and the reach of our local websites and television stations to raise more than $80,000 for tornado relief.

After increasing my YouTube subscribers to more than 20,000, I started producing video blogs and short snippets with my phone.

In 2020, the regional digital stream Newsfeed Now expanded nationally. It’s available on all 115 websites across the company. The stream tackles the day’s biggest “talkers” in a conversational format.

In March, April and May 2020, Nexstar Media Group produced more than 150 company-wide COVID-19 streams generating more than 80 million views across distribution platforms.
