This group of standout Nexstar digital journalists has gone above and beyond to work towards goals, improve their station’s digital content offerings, and assist their regional neighbors.  These are our April Digital Content Influencers:

▶️ Chad Washington, a site producer at KIAH in Houston, is a big reason the station met their PV and visits goals in February, March, and soon-to-be April. Chad’s unique combination of curiosity, creativity, discipline and passion for writing makes him a key player on the KIAH digital team.

▶️ KARK digital lead Bill Smith has pushed the station’s local emphasis and seen strong results so far in April.  The team is already pacing well above their monthly goal and will likely be able to move the needle on their YTD pace. 

▶️ WFLA’s Nathaniel Rodriguez hit a big milestone for pageviews for his station’s site in April and has just as many pageviews for the rest of the company. We’re all benefiting from his work! 

▶️ Izzy Karpinski, a digital producer with WXIN/WTTV in Indianapolis, is aggressive at covering breaking news each morning, while also finding time to craft strong stories that perform well on social and search. She recently made it a goal to make the one million month club and made it happen in March!

▶️ Panagiotis Argitis‘ evergreen content and plug-and-play templates for things like local COVID testing and vaccine sites have been weekly traffic generators for WROC. He’s managed all of this while also handling both external and internal distribution duties each weekday morning.

▶️ Nathaniel Puente from KVEO has produced close to 30% of the site’s traffic so far in April.  One of Puente’s crime stories was cited by a national outlet and helped drive additional PVs as a result.

▶️ Jason Kotowski at KGET in Bakersfield continues to be an example for crime coverage done by digital reporters. He prepares for major cases days ahead of time by creating prewritten stories based on anticipated breakout storylines.
