We’re excited to honor our #NexstarNation Nexstar Digital Content Influencers for September! These folks have gone above and beyond to work towards goals, improve their station’s digital content offerings, and assist their regional neighbors:
Northeast – PIX11’s Aliza Chasan has an eye for content and is always ready to spring into action, and that’s never been more true than when Ida took New York City by surprise earlier this month. It’s no surprise Aliza is the top byline in the Northeast so far this month.
Midwest – Aaron Organ, the digital executive producer at WANE, has published more than 6,000 web stories in his time at the station — most of which have been digital-original pieces. He works tirelessly with the broadcast and digital teams to ensure wane.com is full of impactful content for the community.
East – Patty Coller at WKBN held it down for NE Ohio while their content lead was on maternity leave. Patty helped grow pageviews with thoughtful feedback and witty headlines that win on search and social.
Plains – In addition to topping the author charts at WHBF, Linda C. is among the Plains’ top 10 authors for the month. When she’s not working on a general assignment, you’ll find Linda crafting feature content that’s found success with readers.
Southwest – KVEO’s Samantha Garza has had a big month going after local trending topics like crime and topical news while also keeping an eye to neighboring markets and regions for relevant connections. Samantha also puts a focus into headlines and packaging stories with useful links that she knows will enrich the audience’s experience.
Gulf – WKRG’s Tom Ingram has a big month with many of his stories benefitting several sites in the region. Since joining WKRG, Tom’s writing, communication, and leadership has had a solid impact in the region.
West – KDVR’s Dara Bitler, one of the top authors in the region, takes initiative, working to find topics and create unique content that will drive more pageviews. She also excels at creating topical stories with longer-term interest that are popular on the site for days or longer.
East Coast – This digital influencer was nominated by a sister station! Chase Laudenslager, a digital producer at WCBD, has been leading the charge in one of the biggest crime stories in the state. Over the past few months, she has been digging into documents, verifying information, and curating content. The crew at WSAV in Savannah Ga., wrote, “stories surrounding the the case have dominated our web views and many of them Chase has shared over with us.”
